Well, I lucked into a quick fix for my PC troubles. It isn't perfect, but it does allow me to render reliably again, at least. So....more MK action coming soon...
Need voice work done?
Do you have a pet phrase or literary passage you'd like to have someone with theater training and the sexiest voice imaginable read to you? Have a pet favorite story from a genre site, and wonder what it would sound like read (performed, really) for you? Ever want to have some custom dialogue recorded, but don't know how to go about it? The MKU voice-over actress is one of the coolest, nicest people I've had the pleasure of knowing. She's the woman who is currently voicing Brittania, SuperMom, the MKU-version Soviet Superwoman, and TONS of things currently in the pipeline - more of our characters than not, actually. She's incredible, and is able to do almost any accent, and characters from young to old, from serious to comedic, and from lighthearted fluff to sizzlingly sexy dialogue. She's easily, EASILY the best voice-over artist I've come to know in the many years I've been doing this stuff, and the coolest, too. She's fun and she "gets" the genre better than any other voice actress
Ugh. A rigging newbie in way over his head....
Oh, boy. This motion capture suit is cool, but the figures for DAZ/Poser aren't configured the same way as the output files, which leads to complete distortions when imported.
Anybody know of a good site/tutorial for rigging/swapping bone names directed for beginners, etc? Oy vey.

OMG....this motion capture setup I finally got is REALLY going to speed up the process. Exponentially. Can't wait to really master this thing....once I do.....look out, world.
Rendering despite troubles
Hello all,
There’s some new MK material, as I’m sure you’ve seen. I’m determined to render a little more than I have in the past few years, but my PC is giving me some blue-screening trouble lately; I can only render in 49-50 frame batches before it crashes, which is reeeeeeally short. So expect a few drips and drabs until my Soup Up The Computer Plan is financially feasible. When complete, it should speed up my rendering time at literally dozens of times faster. So...until then....more to come.

Good to hear you found a solution to your rendering woes. Did you get Titaness or Scarlett to tell your PC it'd be on the receiving end of the same sort of treatment as the majority of men they meet if it didn't start cooperating?
